The crisis is strongly going on!

Financial crisis is going on

Today it was an eventfully day. Lehman Brothers is takeovering by...? -> We will see...
But I never thought that an investment bank like Merrill Lynch will be takeovered. Bank of America bought the bank for 50 billion USD. So with a bit luck and audacity you made much money today by speculating on market values.

Summary what happened in the last months.
- Bear Stearns takeovered by JP Morgan
- Lehman Brothers is shortly before the takeover
- Countrywide Financial takeovered by Bank of America
- Merrill Lynch takeovered by Bank of America
- AIG has much of problems because of false speculations with subprimes (look at the market value) as well as Wachovia Corp.
- Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae are big questions
- The aviation business has big problems because the oil price, especially Alitalia

For me, the gainers to date are Bank of America and JP Morgan. But also in the background are companies which benefits like HSBC, Goldman Sachs, Santander, Axa. And the losers: Citigroup, AIG, Wachovia.

hit the financial crisis

Hi guys,

It's time for a new comment to the current financial markets situation.
I think nobody can say when the credit crisis will recover exactly.

But I give some investment ideas which are hopeful for the future.

- Infrastructure (Holcim)
- Luxury goods (Richemont, LVMH, PPR)
- Ecology (Veolia, Geberit)

Remember: Also US-titels are attractive, f.e. HP, McDonald's, Coca-Cola or Procter & Gamble.

And if you are brave, you can try your luck with financial titels like Banco Santander, Credit Suisse, Axa or ING Group.

See you!

Profits of oil companies - wow!

The profit of the world's largest oil company Exxon Mobil growd 3% last year in the comparison to 2006. Finally, the profit was about 40,6 Mrd. $.

The profit of another American oil company, Chevron, also increased. In the end, the company earned 4,9 Mrd. $ more than in 2006. A plus of 29%. The company is a classic possibility for value investors.

And the profit of the british-dutch oil company Shell increased strongly too.

A reason is the high oil price at the last quarter of 2007.

Earn money with telecom and financial institutes

Hello,

I saw that big companies of the sectors telecom and financial are really underrated. Telecom is a basic human requirement, and the sector is rising and expanding, especially in Africa, South America or Asia. It has a great potential. Good chances are the Spanish Telefonica, the German Deutsche Telekom or the British Vodafone.

And the second part, the financial institutes: After the subprime-crisis, the confidence will return to the financial sector and the stock quotations will recover. Many institutes are underrated too, for example the Swiss UBS or the American Citigroup.

See you

focus: UBS

News about UBS,
The United Bank of Switzerland (UBS) amortizes again: 10 billions.
Now it can be that the UBS has for the first time in company history a disprofit. But you shouldn't forget that the invstment banking is the only problem, the other business parts are rising.
If you invest with a look at long range, rating for UBS is overweight/buy.
